To a layman, an inexpensive tie with a simple knot will go unnoticed, but for a more sophisticated wardrobe, where only the best will do, a fancy knot can be the key to pulling a sharp suit together.

The full Windsor knot (or double Windsor knot) is ideal for wedding attire or for professionals who wish to impress. whether it’s a meeting with the bosses or a lunch date with a prospective client, this is the knot for you.

The Full Windsor knot

A formal knot, which is wide at the top and narrow at the base, gives structure and a sharp finish to your suit. Ideally, this knot is best paired with a wide collar shirt and done with a long silk tie, or a tie which is not stiff and is not too thick.

See below for a detailed step by step instruction on how to do the full Windsor knot.

I hope this guide helps you with how to tie and tie and please feel free to comment below for more more help and advice.
